Beautiful little girl, you made it through your first year...we made it! The Hungry Caterpillar seemed a very fitting theme for your birthday, and you loved the cake.

Sweet Becca,
Kimball mentioned the other day how whenever he sees you he can't help smiling. I think that's the case for everyone...your smile is contagious and makes everyone's day better.

Sweet Becca Jean,
You are already 2 months old! This past month, you grew like crazy, and people are shocked to learn how young you are because you are huge. You are a perfectly chubby baby girl.
This past month, I gave up on swaddling you because you would always escape whether it was a blanket, or a wrap or straight-jacket :). You also outgrew size 1 diapers, and size 2 are getting snug on you. I've never seen a baby load up diapers like you...your diapers are always full.

Becca at 1 month old!
Somehow it's already been a month since Becca was born! It shouldn't be humanly possible for this much time to have passed, but alas, our newborn baby girl is growing up before our eyes.
Sweet Becca is a snuggly little girl. She loves to nuzzle her face right into mommy's neck, just past the burp cloth, and spit up down the front of mommy's shirt.
When she stretches, Becca makes this funny little grunt that sounds like a baby goat. She's such a sleepy girl, but is starting to be awake for longer stretches. At night, she usually wakes up around 10 and eats, burps, and cat naps until she finally passes out around midnight. Then, she'll sleep for 2-3 hours before eating again.
We just adore our Becca!

Lily at 12 Months!
12 months have come and gone since you joined our family!
During the month before your birthday, you got your 8th tooth (6/17/15). Progressively you became a toddler! On 6/21 you took 4 steps, and it only increased from there. At the beginning of July you could walk across a room. By your birthday you preferred walking over crawling and now toddle everywhere.
Grandpa Rex and Grandma Sharon said "Lily is a real live angel and it is apparent that she 'rules the roost.' She has such a sweet disposition. She's a beautiful combination of both her parents."
On 7/6 you tried to put your own shoes on. You also like to close doors when asked, blow raspberries and stick out your tongue.
You know that I like to dry my hands after washing dishes, before I pick you up. On 7/7, you pushed me away from the sink towards the towel so I could dry my hands and pick you up. It's so fun watching you figure out how to communicate your needs and wants.
On 7/5 you learned how to climb in the little rocking chair and rock yourself, and on 7/7 you figured out the big rocking chair! You were so proud or yourself and frequently disappear into your room to climb.
You also started to shake your head for "no" and sign "all done" at meals. You discovered how to click your tongue, and the excitement on your face whenever you do it is adorable. You learned how to say "uh" for up on my birthday.
Stranger anxiety is still very real for you. When Grandpa Bundy & Aunt Hannah visited, you would not let them hold you! Grandpa was just excited that you voluntarily touched his nose before he left. But by the time we left Albuquerque, you were willing to stay in Grandpa's arms for crackers or other yummy treats.
You have a few lovies that you snuggle with at nap and bed time. You grab one with your left arm and suck your right thumb as you fall asleep.
Sweet girl, life is an adventure with you! You love to climb, and scream when you're mad. You pull our finger to steer us wherever you want to go. You want so badly to play outside all day long, but it's too hot. We are so blessed to have you in our family!
What a wonderful year it's been! Just born, 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 4 months, 5 months, 6 months, 7 months, 8 months, 9 months, 10 months, 11 months, 12 months.

Lily at 11 months old
Sweet Lily, this last month you finally started saying "mamama" which was one of the highlights for me :). People are always commenting on your beautiful blue eyes, your adorable smile and your curly hair. We still get offers to adopt you if we don't want you anymore...like anyone could ever take you away from us!
This past month, I cut you down to 2 nursings, in the morning and right before bed. It was a tough transition for you, but you still love to eat mush...we added peaches and apples to your repertoire. You even got to try ice cream on May 30th and loved it; you begged for more.
Duke is still one of your favorite play-mates...
You spent much of last month teething, having acquired 2 more teeth (7 teeth in all)! Your top left came in on 5/27, your top right on 6/12.
Whenever you hear music, you can't help dancing. You get a very serious expression on your face as you sway or bob to the music.
On May 27th, you started standing up without holding on to anything. You love to stand in place all the time. You also love to help with the laundry :)
At the beginning of June, we flew to Boston...your first plane ride. Many fellow passengers commented on how good you were on the plane. You were amazing on the trip, being so patient despite being stuck in a car seat or stroller most of the time.
You loved the beach!
After we got home we finally went swimming, but you had an allergic reaction to the sunscreen. Your face was red and blotchy, and it was the saddest sight ever!
You took your first step at the library on June 11th, and later that day you pointed to my nose when I asked you to. You are such a smart baby!
The next day you said uh-oh which has become a popular word every time you throw something off your high chair tray. You are a little bundle of curiosity, constantly trying to outsmart child locks, and reach the keyboard on the desk. We are always re-baby-proofing and you grow taller and become more adept at getting into things. But, life with you is joy. You bring so much happiness and laughter to our home and we can't imaging life without you, sweet princess!

Lily at 10 Months
Sweet Lily...you are a little bundle of energy lately!
On April 16th, your fifth tooth came in! You now have 3 on the bottom and 2 on top.
You are always on the go, getting into anything within reach. Whether it's boxes, bookshelves, bags...they're all fair game in your book. You don't seem too interested in solid foods; you love mush still (carrots, peas, sweet potatoes, zucchini).
You had your first fever last month and it was the saddest thing ever. You just wanted to be held and you didn't appreciate being set down at all. It was so nice to have our happy Lily back when you felt better.
We went on a field trip with Cameron's class to a children's museum and you loved crawling around.
If you're ever inexplicably grumpy, we know that all we need to do is take you outside and you will be happy. You hate the feeling of grass on your feet, but it seems to be worth it to crawl around and eat wood chips and dirt.
We're working on teaching you how to climb down stairs. Climbing up things is not an issue for you in the least...we're in trouble once you figure out how to get on the couch!
One thing's for certain, you know how to make Daddy's day. When he gets home from work, you make a beeline for him, pull up on his pants and wait for him to pick you up. Daddy's pretty lucky to have a little princess now!
You also make sure you're included in family prayer each night. You will crawl over to sit in my lap while we pray.
Lily, it is going to be so much fun to see you learn and grow this spring and summer!

Lily at 9 months
Lily, you have officially been out of my belly longer than you were in it! You are growing and learning at such a rapid pace and it's getting harder to keep up with you.
On March 17th, we went to the park and you tried out the swings for the first time...you loved it!
You are crawling everywhere and love getting into anything within reach.
This past month, you started eating a lot! I puree and freeze your food in ice cube trays, and you will often eat 3 or more ice cubes worth of peas, carrots or sweet potatoes. Then you will eat some oatmeal or cereal. Now that we've started to give you some finger foods (like cereal and bread) you are becoming more reluctant to eat mush...not that I can blame you.
You are still nursing 4 times a day, after you wake up in the morning, after both of your naps, and just before bedtime. You sleep from 8:00-7:00ish most nights and take two naps which last around 1-1.5 hours.
You discovered blowing raspberries and you love to do it when you're done eating...resulting in food all over the place. Sometimes, you even get it on the back of your head somehow!
This past month you started waving bye bye and using our hands or your toy walker to walk a little bit. You also started clapping and cruising along the furniture (by 3/24/15).
On April 5th, you stood up without holding anything for a few seconds, but you haven't tried again since. With the rise in humidity, your hair has started to curl in the back and I am so excited to see what it does as it gets longer. I love playing with your little curly-cues!
And, you are finally ticklish! "This Little Piggy" makes you giggle, and you have a ticklish spot on the side of your neck. Your sweet laugh makes me so happy. You laugh at your brothers quite often. If I'm trying to get you to smile, all I have to do is call Kimball or Cameron over and you start laughing.
Also, you still love shoes! You love to chew on any shoe you can find and you are very talented at untying Daddy's shoes.
Sweet girl, you are such a joy. Some days are hard when you cry a lot or can't communicate what you want to me, but I am so grateful for you! Thank you for the fun and laughter you bring to my life.
Life with you is definitely an adventure! We love you beyond words Lily Loo.

Lily at 8 months
Sweet Lily, as you sit at my feet, exploring the world, it's so much fun thinking of all the growth you have gone through this past month. We are already 2/3 of the way through your first year!
Just born, 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 4 months, 5 months, 6 months, 7 months, 8 months, 9 months, 10 months, 11 months, 12 months.
- Since last month, you started by crawling a few inches, then you would have to stop to take a break and suck your thumb.
- On 2/16 you figured out how to sit up from being on your belly.
- I noticed that you seem to have the pincer grasp down on 2/22
- You have a great love for shoelaces. You are very talented at untying Daddy's shoes with surprising speed.
- You finally mastered crawling on hands and knees around February 26th.
- At the beginning of March, you started giving "kisses" where you would plant your lips on my cheek or chin.
- By March 4th, you were pulling up to kneeling, and you pulled up to a stand for the first time on March 9th!
- On March 10th, your top two front teeth finally poked through. It was very thoughtful of you to wait so long before getting those teeth.
- Despite a cough and runny nose, you are still a fantastic sleeper at night.
- You still love to pull hair and have a tendency to pinch faces if your hands get close enough (hence the matching scratches Mommy & Daddy both have).
- If you are in my arms, and I'm not moving around, you start bouncing up and down to tell me to get moving.
Just born, 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 4 months, 5 months, 6 months, 7 months, 8 months, 9 months, 10 months, 11 months, 12 months.

Lily at 7 months
Lily, this past month has been so much fun! You have grown and learned at a rate quicker than we could keep up...we're still working on baby proofing, but you're giving us the motivation we need now.
-Starting right around 6 months you were getting on hands and knees and scooting backwards
-We introduced the sippy cup and you quickly figured out how to hold it. You love to drink water and bang your cup.

-You would get super impatient waiting for milk, so I would have to sing while nursing to calm you down
-Your feet are ALWAYS moving, hence your feet are always blurry in pictures
-1/22 It snowed. You sat in the snow happily observing the world around you while I took pictures.

-1/23 you started sucking on your bottom lip...which meant a sad rash :(
-1/25 you started bouncing while sitting, and head banging. You would nod your head up and down so vigorously it looked like you were at a rock concert
-Because you could only scoot backwards, you would get your thighs stuck in crib rails and it made you furious.
-Towards the end of January, you decided you wouldn't be ticklish any more. I've never seen a baby who could refuse to be ticklish until you.
-2/1 You started hitting your head while nursing...then you started yanking on your hair.
-2/3 You figured out army crawling! It's kind of a half army crawl, half inch worm type maneuver and it's adorable. For the longest time, you would only "crawl" for books; nothing else seemed to be worth the effort.
-2/5 We discovered that you are in major separation anxiety mode...you would not let Uncle Greg hold you and screamed until you were back in my arms.
