Becca turns 1!

Beautiful little girl, you made it through your first year...we made it! The Hungry Caterpillar seemed a very fitting theme for your birthday, and you loved the cake.

We had cowboy delight for dinner, but you were still hungry. When we sang happy birthday, you cried. When we handed over the entire head of the caterpillar cake, you ate it with a straight face, taking it all in...

You were our best first birthday baby ever! None of your siblings enjoyed their cakes like you did, and we all just laughed watching you eat.

Ripping the wrapping paper was more interesting than the presents themselves, but it was fun watching you open: a book from Cameron, bath toys from Kimball, a book from Lily, a baby doll of your own, bowls,

This past month, you got at least 4 more teeth (that was rough!), you clearly know that I am your mom and call me mama when you're upset, we discovered that you sleep 1,000,000 times better with white noise, you always took off your right sock for some reason, you crawl with your right fist closed.

We discovered you need white noise when you fell asleep at Sister Berry's house and she turned on her fan, and you slept for 1 1/2 hours (your naps were maybe 20 minutes). Suddenly you were going right to sleep at night and started taking 1-2 hour naps at home...hallelujah!

Happy birthday sweet girl! It's so much fun (and so exhausting at times) to watch you discover the world around you. We are so blessed to be on this journey with you and love you more than words could ever express.
