Becca at 2 months

Sweet Becca Jean,
You are already 2 months old! This past month, you grew like crazy, and people are shocked to learn how young you are because you are huge. You are a perfectly chubby baby girl.

This past month, I gave up on swaddling you because you would always escape whether it was a blanket, or a wrap or straight-jacket :). You also outgrew size 1 diapers, and size 2 are getting snug on you. I've never seen a baby load up diapers like you...your diapers are always full.



We bought you a "rock n play" sleeper in hopes that you would sleep better. You have so much trouble sleeping on your back because you spit-up constantly and choke on it, so most nights were spent on your belly, on my chest. For a week, the sleeper worked miraculously and you slept for 6 hour stretches!

Despite your sleep issues and constant spitting up, you are such a happy little girl. Your smiles brighten my day no matter what kind of day it's been. Your smile reaches your eyes with such joy.

You are adored by everyone in our family. Lily calls you "wo-becca"and loves to cuddle with you in her bed before nap time. Kimball wants to hold you constantly. Cameron frequently comes over to kiss your forehead. And, of course, Daddy and I hold you every chance we get. I love cuddling with you for an afternoon nap and feeling you snuggle your head against my shoulder.

At your doctor's appointment, you weighed in at 15 lb, 3.5 oz (99%ile), and were 23.5 inches long (90%ile). We love you so much and are so blessed to have you in our family!
