This year, Kimball turned 11...becoming even more of a pre-teen and showing more and more evidence of growing up.
His birthday was on a Saturday, which gave us all day to celebrate with him. The night before, we filled up the hallway in front of his room with balloons...he wasn't terribly impressed, but we had fun doing it (our fingers were sore from tying so much though!)...
We went to Lazer Zone as a family. We bowled, played in the arcade, ate hot dogs, and the boys played laser tag.
Then it was time for dinner...beef and cheese ravioli. Kimball discovered how amazing ravioli is after our day at the capitol, when Aunt Dana fed us ravioli at her house. Apparently our kids have been deprived, having never had it before. Kimball wanted a chocolate chip bundt cake (which we had at our neighbor Jake's birthday party a few weeks ago). Kimball also wanted cookies and cream ice cream.
Then it was time for presents.
He got a Newton's cradle, a blue suit, track pants, swim goggles, a fishing rod and Nano blocks from Grandma and Grandpa Bundy, $5 from Grandma and Grandpa Rex, a Star Wars micro machine from Cameron, Legos from Uncle Nate and Aunt Kelsey, Play Dough from Lily, and a tangle toy from Becca.
Happy birthday to the boy who made us parents 11 years ago. You are so smart, clever, and have a passion for reading and history. We can't wait to see all the things you accomplish and are so grateful that Heavenly Father chose us to be your parents. We love you!
