April 2018

We're winding down with the school year and everyone's getting anxious for summer break! We can't wait for lazy morning where we can sleep in and Lily and Becca won't be woken up at 6 by Kimball getting ready for school (he's as quiet as possible, they just still wake up).

Dale had a busy month of traveling. He went to Grand Junction, Colorado and to Atlanta, GA for two depositions for a case he's working on. While in GA he got to go to Jordan Con and geek out with fellow Robert Jordan fans. He also took the boys on the stake father/son campout at the end of the month. He also got called to be the ward organist.

At the Atlanta temple
Judy took the kids up to OKC by herself for the teacher walk-out at the capitol. She got called into young women's at church. And, she stayed mostly sane even with Dale traveling much more than usual.

Kimball has discovered a love of leaving selfies on my phone. He also competed in the council pinewood derby race. He turned 11, and is currently obsessed with the American Revolution. According to Kimball "Nowhere is awesome. If you're going nowhere you can travel the world and not even know it." He read Hunger Games and could not put it down! Then, we got to watch the movie with him one night.
Cameron has continued to develop his artistic skills. It's been fun watching the drawings he's created. He's still obsessed with robots and says if he can build a battle bot, he'll make sure it does chores too. He (and Kimball) can't stop talking about Nerf guns and keep trying to buy more, even though they have more than they can hold. According to Cameron "I wish blackmail wasn't illegal!"
It's the end of an era for Lily. She officially said goodbye to bunny and no longer needs him to fall asleep. It's bitter-sweet for us watching her grow up. When Lily asks if she can do something and we tell her she can, she exclaims "yesss!" in the cutest voice possible. We registered her for pre-K this fall, and she went to the dentist for the first time. She was shy at first, but did great! She got some water-guns and her new favorite game is washing the windows with her guns.
Becca is keeping us on our toes (and we're just trying to make sure she survives!). She has figured out climbing on chairs, climbing the fireplace, etc. She points to her belly and nose when asked, started to climb down stairs backwards (though she prefers walking down like a big girl and giving us heart attacks), says "blech" about yucky things, Doo (Duke), "Ah" (hot), signs "please", clicks her tongue when she wants her binky, and points to people when they're in trouble. She's our first kid to love soda at this age. She got pretty sick and had to be on a nebulizer, which was utter torture for her.
What a life we live!
