We stayed fairly local for spring break this year but had some fun adventures.
Spring break started on Friday the 16th. Dale had a deposition in Irving, TX so we all drove down together. While he was deposing someone, we went to Victoria Park and the kids had a blast.
Then, when we found out we would be waiting more, we grabbed some Little Caesar's pizza and went to The Tubes at a local church. They had an outdoor playground and a McDonald's like playground inside.
Finally (4 hours later), Dale was done and we headed over to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Ft Worth for a free tour. The boys were reluctant to go, but we all had fun and learned a lot about how money is printed, and the boys got to design their own bills.
Then we got dinner and drove home.
Saturday was St Patrick's day.
Dale had to work the next week, so we played at home. We went to the library a few times and just enjoyed the break from our school schedule. Becca was sick most of the week with a fever, and then for days she just screamed unless she was being held. But, the doctor couldn't find anything wrong so we just had to wait it out. It was such a relief when she was finally happy again!
On Friday the 23rd, we headed out as a family to the Toy and Action Figure Museum in Paul's Valley. The display of toys was nothing short of impressive! Lily loved the hands-on room and played trains the whole time we were there. The owner was so sweet and gave the boys stellar discounts on their cars and Transformer. The boys were stunned and kept talking about how nice he was.
After the museum we ate at Bob's Pig Shop and we went to Urban Air, a trampoline park in Ardmore. It was expensive and exhausting, but everyone had a blast and no one broke any bones.
The next day, Grandma and Grandpa Bundy, and Uncle Robert arrived to surprise the kids. They dressed as pirates and kidnapped Kimball (who had requested to be kidnapped months earlier). I've never seen Kimball run so fast when he legitimately thought someone was trying to kidnap him.
Hooray for spring break!
