January 2021

Happy New Year! Everyone is just hoping 2021 will be better than 2020. Some pointed out that 2021 is just saying that "2020 won". We started off the year celebrating with the Ferrells on New Year's.

Kimball and Cameron were ordained and became a teacher and deacon while Grandma and Grandpa Bundy were visiting

Becca wrote her name for the first time. <3. One day we were talking about broken noses and Becca said "we all have broken noses because we have 2 holes in them."  At scripture time I asked her "who had nails in their hands and feet?" thinking she would say "Jesus" but she replied "all of us." It's true, we all have finger and toe nails. Every time I ask her if she's my princess, she says "I'm not a princess, I'm a queen!"

Kimball was reading and started talking about the "appendendix" (appendix) and I couldn't stop laughing for ages after. After he told me about something typical of a teenage boy I said "you should be completely humiliated by that!" to which he replied "maybe one day when I have a shred of decency."

Cameron renewed his love for Hex Bugs. Half of his curriculum for school was cancelled so he focused on language arts for the month and finished the semester for that class. We often find him under tables or blankets doing school work. He loves doing science experiments.

Lily got to start back in tumbling class after missing it for December. Dale fixed the necklace Grandma Bundy gave her, which she received from her grandma Lillian. Lily was thrilled to finally be able to wear it.

We watched President Joe Biden's inauguration. Shortly before the inauguration, there was a riot at the Capitol. The rioters breached the capitol building. A protestor died. President Trump was blamed for inciting the riot. Many called for his impeachment...the second time since he took office. Here's hoping for less political drama for a while.

Before our trip to New Mexico in December we discovered that the van windshield had a huge crack in it but we couldn't get it repaired until January thanks to the cold weather and difficulties with Covid. Now we have a brand new windshield...
