September 2016

I think September might be one of the most exciting months of the year for Dale...simply because college football starts. But, it was a pretty fun month for our family as a whole! We found out that we are having a baby girl and everyone is thrilled!!!
It's a GIRL!

We all play the game Pokemon Go and spent some time hunting Pokemon at the park one day. It's a fun way to get outside and spend time as a family.
Dale and I got to spend one morning at the OKC temple with some friends in our ward. It made for a long day (8ish hours from the time we left to the time we got home) but the kids all did well in our absence.
Every time Lily sees the vacuum, she has to pull out her vacuum. It's so darn cute! This past month Lily's vocab has continued to grow. One day I said "you're silly Lily" and her response was "I know that!" She now tells us things like "I don't like granola bars" or tells us in detail her brothers' infractions throughout the day. I'm in awe daily at the things she is learning and grasping!''
She loves smoothie popsicles with a passion and has to eat them while sitting on the front porch.
In preparation for a house showing one day, the boys helped trim the bushes out front. Every time I ask them to clean up a room, they think it's because there's a showing (because we never clean for any other purpose around here apparently). But, they are great helpers when push comes to shove.
Lily loves to tackle Dale, and one evening it evolved into dog piles, rhino wrestling, and little boys getting very squished...
Lily's favorite seat is on the counter. Whenever I'm cooking, she pushes herself in front of me, grabs the counter edge and dangles from it while telling me she wants to "help mommy!" She especially loves to reorganize my spice cabinet.
I took Cam and Lily to the homecoming parade. It was hot and sunny, there weren't many floats (mostly groups walking) but they got a lot of candy and one group handed out books!
Cameron told me the other day "Even if you wipe the slime off, kisses will never come off your cheek mom." I'm so grateful for those thousands of kiss imprints on my cheeks! He's in a stage where he loves to tease Lily (touching her hair, or picking her up when she's in a bad mood), but she is at her silliest when she's playing with him. They love to play doggies together, or spin in circles.
