Cameron loved the cemetery and was fascinated at how many Rexes are buried there!
Then we left for Idaho for the first of our reunions with all of Dale's siblings. We celebrated his Dad's 80th birthday that night, and all 12 kids were there with many of the grandkids and even some great-grandkids!
On Monday many of the attendees went river rafting. I stayed at the camp with Lily and some of the other moms with their young kids. The kids were entertained for hours by the water spigot!
Apparently Kimball made many enemies on the rafting trip because he kept splashing everyone. The boys had fun building a fort with some of their cousins...
There was play-dough, glow sticks, and fun games to enjoy as well as time on the river kayaking, canoeing and paddle-boarding. We could barely get Kimball out of the water.
It was around 100 most days but thankfully we had a shady campsite and it was pleasant for the most part...except for the psycho mosquitoes. On the last day, we went to Mammoth Caves with some of Dale's brothers and their families. There was a museum with the most eclectic collection of random things I've ever seen.
Then we drove down to Springville to spend a couple of days with the Ferrells. While we were there, we ate lots of good food, played games, watched Zootopia, went to the Provo Rec swimming pool (which was awesome!), visited Kimball Tower...
and on Friday Katie, Kimball and I hiked the Y.
We loved meeting their adorable twins and the visit was over too soon.
Then it was time for the reunion with Dale's aunts, uncles and cousins on his Dad's side. This was at Heber Valley Girls Camp. We played minute-to-win-it games, ate food, and slept in cabins with bunk beds. Cameron was devastated when we told him he probably couldn't marry his cousin who he loved playing with at all of the reunions.

On Monday we left to drive home and it was so good to sleep in our own bed! The driving was hardest on the parents I think...thankfully our kids are fabulous travelers and Lily only struggled on the last day of our trip because she was just sick of the car. We passed the time by listening to Harry Potter book 1 and Boxcar Children on CD, as well as playing Pokemon Go. Cameron did have a stomach bug/motion sickness/who knows for part of our trip which always makes for an adventure but he seems back to himself and we are glad to be home.
