February 2016

Honestly, I'm glad to see February go. It was one of the hardest, longest months of my life. There were some highlights throughout it though...

I love seeing kids in PJs; it's so darn cute!

Lily and I took advantage of the crazy warm weather (which is normal for OK but I'll never get used to it) and spent a morning at the park...all of the other parents were shocked at how active and agile she is for her age and size. There was nothing she wasn't willing to climb or try while we were there!
The boys had a few more basketball games and wrapped up the season

Kimball has been learning all sorts of fun stuff at school like figurative language (he will now scream out idiom whenever he hears one) and writing Chinese:

Lily started learning how to undress herself. Thankfully it hasn't gone beyond pants, shoes and socks :)

Chore were done, spelling lists were studied, books were read, life happened...

We spent a lot of time outside on the trampoline, bikes, etc
Crazy trampoline hair!

Lily decided to start throwing tantrums like this:

It's so hilarious that I can't help laughing and she gets mad that her point isn't coming across very effectively.

And one morning I came into the kitchen to find this:

On February 1st, I found out that our little baby had miscarried. I was 10ish weeks along and it was crushing. The miscarriage itself left me drained and exhausted for weeks. Even a month later I still need naps and feel the effects of it all. Dale was my rock, working his schedule out to be home when I needed him and being very patient with all of my crazy hormones. Each day gets a little better. Our ward friends were fabulous and brought over meals and gifts with many more offers of help. We never told the boys what was going on so they were confused a lot, but I hope if they remember this past month, that they know there were good times too.
