April 2022

April started out with General Conference. We did our Conference Store again and the kids did some amazing drawings of the speakers while we watched.

Kimball had to memorize and recite the prologue of Romeo and Juliet for his English class and he aced it! He also got first trumpet part in band. One weekend he woke up with a fever of 104.8 and said "at least I'm not my least favorite radio station." (104.1...which happens to be Judy's favorite station). Plus, he turned 15!

Cameron still loves going to robotics club at the library twice a month. He's become much more independent in taking care of his turtle Shelly and hedgehog Sonic. Cameron and Judy went to see the movie Sonic 2 in theaters. Cameron had a performing arts performance called “Love Theory”.

Lily raced in her first powderpuff derby with Girl Scouts. She had soccer games almost every weekend and her confidence grew with each game/practice. Her class went to the Cowboy Museum in OKC.

Becca had bike day at school and loved riding her Lightning McQueen bike. Becca and Judy went with Lily’s class on a field trip to the Cowboy Museum in OKC. When Becca saw the statue of Abe Lincoln she giggled and said “hee hee, he’s on the potty!”

Dale helped restructure the firm after one of the partners left to start their own firm. He went up to Norman with some members of the firm to watch the OU spring football scrimmage. Dale and Judy got to go see the OKC Philharmonic Orchestra perform in Ada. It was beautiful, but very, very long!

Judy also built/raced a car in the powderpuff derby. She babysat quite a bit, had plenty to do with church, and played taxi regularly for the kids' activities.

We celebrated Easter with egg hunts, Primary activities for the girls, and baskets on Easter morning. Our big, beautiful silver maple tree was diseased and we decided it was better to have it cut down instead of having it fall on our house. It was quite the process to have it cut down and took 2 days with several men, a crane, a cherry picker, a dump truck and several other machines. We sure miss that tree and the shade it gave us in the summer.

We said goodbye to our foster pup Bodie. He was a sweet pup and our whole family was sad to see him go.
