February 2021

We started this month off with a quick trip down to the Ferrell's for Natalie's baptism. Dale got to play the piano, I spoke, and Kimball and Cameron were able to be witnesses. The church recently changed the guidelines for witnesses at baptisms to anyone who has been baptized. We are so excited for Natalie that she was able to be baptized and make those covenants with her Heavenly Father.

Libby, Becca and Mat (they only pic I have of the baptism)

Kimball was going to go to Top Shot with Boy Scouts but the troop voted not to go because the weather was going to be awful. I forced Kimball to let me cut his hair because it was out of control, and with each snip, I heard him saying "ow, ow, ow". I asked "is this hurting each of your little hairs?" to which he replied "no, it's hurting my feelings with each little snip." He's one step closer to Eagle scout after receiving some merit badges at the Court of Honor.

Cameron has made up a song for Dale's plethora of dad jokes. "Dad jokes, ooooooh, ooooooh. They are so bad! Dad jokes, oooooooh, oooh, oooooh". When he gets out of the shower, for some reason, Shadow loves licking his hair. He figured out how to make his turtle Shelly smile but moving his face close to hers...he also realized she's a girl based on her claws. He also got some merit badges.

Lily's favorite word is "literally". Especially when she's really excited she will start her sentences with "literally!"

Becca turned 4! We also got to celebrate Grandpa Bundy's birthday from afar since they're birthday buddies. Whenever Kimball tries to use reverse psychology on her, she always outwits him. She's way too smart for a 4 year old!

Dale got to speak in church on why he decided to serve a mission.

I (Judy) got to go to Ardmore with my friends Jackie, Jamie, Debra and Casey to celebrate Casey's birthday. We mini golfed and went to a local restaurant.

Dale and I celebrated Valentine's Day by going out the Friday before for lunch.

On the 15th most of the midwest was hit by an arctic front, bringing prolonged frigid temperatures. Many animals died, and most of Texas lost power. Since we still had power and a fireplace, we invited the Ferrells up (they had lost power sporadically). We played in the snow, watched lots of shows, and went sledding.

At the end of the month, we started fostering puppies from the local animal shelter. Since they didn't have names, we called them Buddy and Pal. The first few nights were rough with constant whining.
