| Easter Sunday |
But here are some of the highlights:
- We had church at home every Sunday where we watched our ward's Zoom meeting and Dale blessed the Sacrament afterwards with Kimball passing it. We made the kids dress up each week to try to set Sunday apart.
- Dale was still working from home throughout the month.
- We kept working on filling in the wall that leads to the library...ripping out the window, filling in the hold, mudding (thanks Jeff), texturing, painting.
- We celebrated Easter at home. There were no community egg hunts or school events. The Easter bunny did leave plenty of eggs to find around our house though.
- We started having regular zoom meetings with family from afar on Sundays.
- Kimball turned 13!
- The older 3 kids tried to sleep on the trampoline. Lily was the last to come in because the boys got too cold/uncomfortable while Lily fell fast asleep and we had to carry her in.
- Kimball, Cameron and Lily worked through the month on their distance learning. Lily had twice weekly online class meetings with daily tasks/assignments. The boys had school work online for each subject. Becca was always in the background trying to get involved and hating that my attention was spread to three different kids needing help.
- Apparently I took too long coming to assist Becca on the potty because she started singing “mommy, please I know you’re in there. People are asking where you’ve been. They say have courage and I’m trying to...”
- We had a tornado warning. We went down in the shelter, Shadow hated being in there, our neighbor Vickie and our friends waited in the garage, trying to maintain social distancing but still ready to jump into the shelter if a tornado came too close.
- I killed the dishwasher after making "kinetic sand" with the kids, so we had to hand wash all of our dishes until a repairman could come, evaluate, then order the parts. Kimball's biggest birthday wish was that the dishwasher would get fixed and half-way through his birthday, we got a call that the part had come in, the repairman came and fixed it that day.
- Dale played a whole game of Risk with all 4 kids interacting/playing. I can't handle that game if the little ones are awake!
- There was generally lots of chaos and some cabin fever since we couldn't go anywhere, but we made it through and the kids did surprisingly well getting along. We made it through a whole month of quarantine!
