Ferrells move to Texas!

We've been so excited to have our favorite Ferrells move to Texas and we headed down on March 14th to help them move in. It was also the start of our spring break so we made a weekend out of it!

On our way down we hydroplaned. It was one of the scariest experiences of my life. The van spun towards an oncoming truck, then spun around and went down into the valley next to us backwards. It took a while to stop but we were so blessed that we didn't hit anything and only minor damage was done to the van!

When we got to the Ferrell's, we started to help unpack. It was the second day of the beginning of social isolation due to Corona Virus.

We got the truck unpacked, the men returned the truck and the women went grocery shopping for what we could find...there was basically no milk, cheese, meat or bread due to panic shopping.

Church on Sunday was at the Ferrell's house. We read scriptures and I spoke to the kids about sharing as Jacob taught in the Book of Mormon.
Monday Justin had to go to work, so we entertained the kids and tried to burn energy. It was pretty rainy the whole time we were there and with isolation we couldn't go to parks. We spent a good deal of time building their Ikea dressers. The kids all got along remarkably well considering how cooped up everyone was. It was so fun to see our kids play together like they've always known each other.

On Tuesday we played more, helped unpack more, toured Justin's work (Texas A & M Commerce), and left to drive home.
We had plans to get together for Cameron's birthday, but those were cancelled as the Ferrell's community was ordered to shelter in place and everything became even more locked down everywhere...hopefully we'll get to have some good bonding time with them soon.
