September started off with Dale being in Utah to visit his dad (who had given us quite a scare with a stroke!). He flew there with his brother Greg. While he was there he helped fix up a few things, including a grandmother clock.
He continued teaching, and lawyering, and organ playing at church. Plus, college football started.
Judy held down the fort at home. I attempted to make funnel cakes which looked terrible but tasted pretty good. I fixed up our new-to-us piano. Cameron and I made Popsicle stick boats and both won in our age categories.
Our neighbor's husband passed away, and while it was tragic, it has given us a chance to get to know her so much more. We are blessed to live next door to her!
Kimball ran a 1K mud run. He was not very impressed with the course and was upset that he was too young for the 5K. He was super excited for Area 51 day (people gathered at Area 51, and his school celebrated). He loves helping raise the flag with his troop at ECU football games and has worked quite a bit on merit badges.
Cameron progressed some in Boy Scouts and continues to get used to his new school with 7 different class periods. He used some of his money to buy Minecraft, and that is the latest obsession in our house. They love watching Minecraft videos, and check out Minecraft books.
Lily has really started to love coloring. It's fun to see how much better she gets. On her picture day she wanted to make sure Becca had her picture taken too, and they looked adorable with their hair all done up. Since her school is the Pirates, she went through a phase where all she would read was pirate books. We checked out several from our public library, and our sweet librarians went and pulled all of the other kids pirate books and put them on reserve just for us. She continues to love tumbling class and is growing up in so many ways.
Becca can finally open doors...she just never cared to learn until now. She's to the age where she's not getting into absolutely everything. She loves to say "amazing!". She's getting jealous of the baby I watch sometimes and will flip out if he touches her. One day she decided to color our entire kitchen floor with crayons. Lily was sweet enough to help her scrub the floor with magic erasers, and since then Becca regularly tells me "we only color on paper...or coloring books."
