Becca is 11 months old!

Little girl, you've almost made it through your first year of life! Plus, you managed to do so as the youngest of our crazy crew.

Lately, the best word to describe you is "tank". When you have it in your mind that you're going somewhere, nothing is standing in your way. Whether it's hunting mom down throughout the house while screaming like a wild banshee, or getting past brothers to the toy you want, you are on a mission and will not be sidetracked. You will plow over boxes and face-plant off of them.

You've started using your walker and standing for several seconds at a time. You're still very cautious and haven't really tried to take steps (though a few have happened while falling from standing).
You still hate naps/bed time, and would much prefer to cuddle to sleep.
Though you are a mommy's girl, you expect a hug from Daddy whenever he gets home, and love to be held by him.
You destroyed the Christmas tree this year and loved the wrapping paper on Christmas morning.

On our trip to Albuquerque, you went to the zoo, and you found Uncle John's hair (or lack thereof) especially entertaining.
This past month was rough, with 4 teeth coming in. You just wanted to be held and were guilty of chomping on random shoulders to try to feel better. You got a bit pickier about your food and started spitting back out whatever you didn't approve of. Sometimes, you just get tired of being fed and wait until we dump your food on your tray for you to plow in again.

One of your most endearing traits is your love of having your cheek kissed. You will just press your cheek firmly to my lips while I kiss you repeatedly.

Becca Jean, you are my humbling child. Everything I thought I knew about parenting, you are proving me wrong. From being the only kid to ever want a pacifier, to refusing to sleep or be put on a sleep schedule to your extreme separation anxiety. You've given me a lot of understanding and empathy for other parents. That being said, I love you beyond words and am grateful that I get to be your mom. Thank you for being so patient with me as I figure this out :).
