Albuquerque

The day after Christmas, we left for Albuquerque. The kids were super excited to see Grandma and Grandpa. We were mostly nervous about a long drive with Becca (she was miserable on our last trip!), but everyone did great. Lily loved sitting by Cameron and teasing him :)

We decided to make sure that we didn't just spend the whole time hanging out and made a plan to get out and explore. While we were in Albuquerque, we went to the zoo...
Becca's first zoo trip
and to the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History...
With "Fat Man" and "Little Boy"
While Dale and Judy went to the temple, Grandma took the kids to a fun park...
We also went ice skating...
The libraries have free passes to the zoo and several museums, so we got off cheap! It was a delicate balance of letting the boys just veg and making them come spend time as a family. We played games and enjoyed spending time with my parents and Robert, John and Hannah.

But, we were ready to get home and spend a couple days recuperating before the boys started school again.
