Snow!

All of last winter we didn't get a single good snow here, so we've all been hoping for at least one good snowfall this year and we finally got it...after the boys had only been back to school for 2 days after Christmas break. We went to bed on Thursday night and woke up to a winter wonderland Friday morning. Since there aren't many snowplows here, they cancel school pretty quickly if the roads are slick at all.

Dale didn't get a snow day though, so he headed into work, and we went out to play!

Lily didn't look too happy, but she loved it and didn't want to go inside. At one point, Cameron's glove fell off as he was sledding down our street and I've never heard anyone scream like that before...I though he had broken his hand. But, all the kids in our neighborhood were sledding down the street for quite a while.

When Dale got home, he took Lily sledding for a bit on our neighbor's hill.

We had lots of cocoa and stayed toasty warm with our fireplace. On Saturday, we went to a local neighborhood to try out their hill. For some reason, no one had used the hill yet, so the snow was pristine and we got to enjoy it all to ourselves!

I got to go down a few times, but coming back up was exhausting!

Sadly, the snow wasn't good for snowmen, but we sure enjoyed sledding. We finally got to use our snow gloves though, and Kimball is convinced he needs snow boots for the one time a year that it snows here.
