December 2016

December flew by quicker than should be possible! Even with fewer events than we normally have in December, it felt like we were plenty busy. We started the month off by going to the Parade of Lights...
At the parade
After the parade, the boys got to meet Santa! Lily didn't want to go anywhere near him.

We had our ward Christmas party, the boys had basketball games and Dale went to the OU vs OSU game in Norman with Kurt Sweeney.

We got to start using our fireplace, and Dale likes to keep our house toasty warm with all the wood he collects!

Our children looked adorable for church each week...
One day Kimball was home with a stomach bug, but he felt well enough later in the day to help me rake some leaves. Somehow, my mom brain didn't think out the possible repurcussions of putting the pile of leaves right in between the deck and the trampoline. Cameron was kind enough to show me the results of my decision when he got home from school (he would stand on the edge of the deck, yell loudly and jump as high as he could into the pile...thankfully no bones were broken).

Cameron had his school performance and played the role of elf wonderfully...
and Kimball had his choir performance...
We sold our first house! Closing was on the 15th and it went smoothly. We are thankful to not have to worry about 2 mortgages anymore and felt the Lord's hand in the timing of the sale. At the end of October, we decided we were going to put it up for rent and the next day we found out that someone was making an offer on the house. Kimball got to go say goodbye to the tree he planted back in 2013...

We decorated ice cream cone trees...
Spent lots of time around the tree...
And had some friends over for the BYU bowl game. Lily especially enjoyed the ice cream!

We went to the library for Christmas crafts and Lily was hesitant (to say the least) to meet Santa, but she was very excited about the gift bag he gave her after.
Dale's awesome assistant Jorjia gave him quite the gift this year...
After we celebrated Christmas, life slowed down slightly, then suddenly it was New Year's Eve and we put together a Christmas puzzle to celebrate.

Goodbye 2016!
