January 2014

It's hard to believe that January has already come and gone. We are already over 1/12th of the way through the year and time doesn't seem to be slowing down. In January, we spent some time in Albuquerque, and when we got back, the boys got to enjoy their Christmas presents. One day while I was napping, Kimball snitched my phone and I suddenly had a lot of pictures of Transformers :)

The boys are obsessed with making traps to catch leprechauns since Kimball's class did this last St Patricks Day (though they have since been banned from mentioning leprechauns until March). One day they were using a box with styrofoam in it to make a trap and before I knew it, the room was dusted with little balls of styrofoam. I still find those little balls weeks later but the boys had fun and they got to clean up afterwards.

Sickness has been hitting us hard this year with stomach bugs, fevers, sore ears, etc so there has been a lot of cuddling and naps (which are usually rare around here!). There is something about sleeping kids that makes me want to take a picture...

Little Noodle seems to be doing well. I have been feeling little kicks for about two weeks now and I can't wait for all 3 of my boys to feel Noodle kick for the first time. The picture below is at 15 weeks. Cameron insists on hugging Noodle each night. Recently he realized if he plugs the sink while washing his hands, it makes a little bubble bath. He then explained that he will give Noodle baths since it's a good baby bath. Then, he instructed me to put my belly in the sink and he would give Noodle a bath right away. I politely declined but have been chuckling about it ever since ;)

I finally took Kimball shopping for new shoes since his toes were touching the tips of the shoes we bought a few months ago. His favorite color is red right now so he was pleased with the first pair of red shoes we found and he refused to take them off as we walked to the front of the store :)

We put together a BYU puzzle from the Ferrells...

 Homework has been a big transition for Kimball this year but he's learning and doing well in 1st grade.

 On the 100th day of school, Kimball dressed as a 100 year old man. This is what we came up with in 5 minutes with limited make-up/supplies. I used flour in his hair and eye liner for the beard/wrinkles. I think he was the cutest little old man I've ever seen :).
