It's A GIRL!

Yesterday was our ultrasound. I wanted to take the boys with us to find out as a family, so I picked them up from school and met Dale at the doctor's. Practically as soon as the ultrasound tech turned the monitor on, she said "Looks like a girl" and the boys immediately said "Yay!" It seems so surreal that we're finally getting a girl. After the ultrasound we went straight to WalMart and bought our little girl her first dress.

All four of us have hoped for a girl and I have had feelings that this little one was a girl but was too scared to get my hopes up. Kimball declared it has to be a girl a while ago because I am so outnumbered in our family, and for weeks Cameron has been stating "I just know it's a girl mom."
21 weeks pregnant with our little girl!
Pregnancy has made my dreams extremely vivid, and the night before the ultrasound I had a nightmare that when we went to it, the tech took so long telling us the gender that I fell asleep. In this dream I was too embarrassed to tell Dale that I fell asleep and was waiting for him to tell the boys but he just never brought up what the baby's gender was. When I finally did wake up I was so disoriented and upset that I had missed it. Dale just laughed when I told him about my dream.

Basically we are over the moon excited and can't wait to meet this little girl! We still call her Noodle and I love hearing the boys talk about all of their plans for Noodle. We don't have a name yet and honestly haven't discussed it much, but the discussions are starting so we'll see where they lead :).

Random pregnancy notes:
-I can stand Gatorade again and even voluntarily drink it sometimes. I haven't been able to stand Gatorade since I was pregnant with Kimball.
-Chicken is disgusting to me. Beef is tasty, though I can only handle a little bit. Meat in general is too heavy.
-I crave sugar constantly. I want candy a lot. I think my blood sugar is a little wacky. But, I also want fruit all the time which is good.
-I have been feeling Noodle kick since 16 weeks. Dale finally felt her kick last week and it's only getting stronger. I can't wait for the boys to feel her kick!
-Many of my friends said that being pregnant with girls was so much harder and made them sicker. I have felt basically the same this time around with minimal morning sickness and no throwing up (except for a stomach bug over Thanksgiving). Just extremely tired. There were some days early on when I took 2-3 naps a day and still barely functioned. Now, I average 2-3 days a week where I don't need a nap and feel mostly human again :).
-We learned after my first miscarriage that I have hyperthyroidism, which is where my thyroid is over-active. When I am not pregnant/recovering from pregnancy it goes into remission. When I am pregnant my thyroid starts going crazy, which is probably why I'm so tired. The dangers with this are pre-term labor, low birth weight, and pre-ecampsia. I think this is why I had two miscarriages so we feel incredibly blessed that this little girl is healthy! I am on anti-thyroid medication and have to have blood work done regularly to monitor it, but everything is going well so far.
