Too Soon

Cameron has been trying out walking in a sort of non-committal way for several months now. He's finally to the point that he will occasionally take several steps, but even then, that's rare.

The other day he was willing to try a few steps when I set him down. As he walked towards the coffee table, he misjudged the distance and leaned in a little too soon.

I have never heard my baby scream like that before! His poor nose had lines matching the beveled edge of the table and swelled up to twice it's normal size.You can't really see it in all it's swollen glory because this was right after the fact. But you can sort of see the lines that lasted a few days.

Kimball never bruised as a baby, and still doesn't, so having a baby with lighter skin has been an adventure. I understand how mothers might feel like they'll be accused of beating their child by the amount of bruises some kids get.
