I was writing a letter to my brother and wanted to copy what I wrote about my boys because I want to remember forever how I see them right now, because who knows how I will feel tomorrow!
Cameron is getting to be quite skilled. He has already figured out child locks, which Kimball still hasn’t. He can climb our step stool which leaves the entire kitchen exposed to whatever havoc he feels like reaping there. He still isn’t walking. I thought he would be an early walker since he crawled early, but apparently he’s just fond of crawling, though he does take a few steps here and there. He is always looking for trouble, shaking lamps or finding outlets that aren’t child proofed. I think he’s always going to keep my hands full, but every time he smiles, my heart melts and I have a really hard time being upset at him. This means even more trouble for me since it’s harder to stick to my guns and carry out punishment when I’m smiling right back at him. He’s just so darn cute!
Kimball is trying so hard to be a good big brother. He has learned the bartering system, finding a toy for Cameron if Cameron has something he wants. He is also exceptional at remembering the rules, as long as it’s Cameron who’s breaking them. Such a good brother. If Cameron is crying, Kimball starts crying just as loud because he hates when Cameron is so upset. It drives Dale nuts to have both boys screaming, but I think it’s kind of endearing. His hugs stop me in my tracks and make me realize how truly blessed I am; they are the sweetest, most embracing hugs any 3 year old could ever give.
For today, I feel blessed beyond what I deserve. I have a healthy, happy family who loves me and I couldn't ask for more. We taught today in Primary how Jesus loves each of us, and I know without a doubt it is true. I can never thank my Heavenly Father enough for all He has blessed me with, but I will try my best to treat each of my blessings the best that I possibly can.
