During the weeks leading up to Cameron's birthday, I kept asking him if we could just skip his birthday so he could be 5 a little longer. His response was that, no, we need to skip Kimball's birthday for two years so they can be tied! Cameron has been SO EXCITED to turn 6 and talked about his birthday for months beforehand.
On his birthday, Cameron woke up to streamers and balloons hanging from his doorway and all over the living room. I heard him come out of his room that morning and exclaim "this is the best birthday ever!"
The boys are both very into Star Wars and my mom gave me a dome cake pan, so I decided to make a Death Star cake. Once it was decorated, Cameron declared that it's the top of a droid head...whatever works, right? I was going to add more decorations and Lego Star Wars ships flying around it, but Cam begged for us to skip that part and just get straight to presents.
After singing and blowing out candles, it was finally time to open presents.
He got a folding camping chair (with a cupholder!), Lego AT-AT, Berenstain Bears book, shirt with Darth Vader playing basketball, submarine toys, key chains for his back pack (he has been begging for keychains for months!), and a Star Wars backpack. The cake was strawberry with chocolate frosting, accompanied by sherbert. Dinner was pizza with 7-Up, Star Wars Jello jigglers, and cheese puffs.
We are so blessed to have Cameron in our family!
