April 2021

We started off the month with General Conference. The Ferrell’s came up to watch with us, which meant we had 11 people and 5 dogs. It was rainy, so all mammals were inside for a good part of the weekend. It was a bit loud and crowded. We ate lots, watched lots, played games, and plenty more.

We also celebrated Easter with the Ferrells. We went to an egg hunt at the Harris’ house the night before, and the Easter bunny hid eggs all through our house. We dyed eggs, ate lots of candy and had a wonderful dinner.

We had Radar and Ruckus for a bit longer, but said goodbye to them during this month. Ruckus left first, and Radar finished a few weeks later when he got stronger. Shadow sure missed Ruckus but learned to play with Radar eventually.

The boys went on a campout with their Scout troop.

To celebrate reaching peak immunity after getting our Covid vaccines (Dale and Judy) we went to Great Wolf Lodge in Dallas. The room we stayed in had a bunk bed no one had to sleep on the floor. We swam, swam, and swam some more!
Judy got everyone on April fool’s by making sure no one remembered and couldn’t prank anyone :).

Judy the dog-lady

Kimball turned 14, and started going to parkour and other activities at the former Boys & Girls Club. When I asked him where he thought someone was going on a mission for church, he guess “Guatamole”. I called him a kid once and now he insists he’s a baby goat, NOT a kid!

Adding to the see-saw with Kimball photo journal

Cameron kept creating art in his print/sculpture art class.

Cuddling with Radar

Lily survived a dentist appointment, and kept busy with school, zoom classes, etc.

Trying out Walmart type Dippin Dots for the first time

Becca decided that her favorite color is yellow. One day she randomly told me “I wish we lived in a volcano.”

Wagging her “tail”

Dale put up with all the puppy craziness.
