Becca turns 2!

This past year flew by! It's hard to believe our baby girl is 2, and I keep getting told by multiple members of our family that she's not a baby anymore...nothing will change the fact she's my baby though. There are times when she sweetly tells me "baby" and wants to be cradled in my arms.

Here older siblings were more excited about her birthday than she was, and were dying to have her open presents and blow out the candles. She seemed overwhelmed from all of the attention though. When she woke up from her nap and saw the "bummy" cake I made for her, she immediately wanted to dig in. We had pizza and soda for dinner, then we opened presents to let dinner settle.
Her siblings just about went crazy with how slowly and methodically she opened each present...often handing me little shreds of wrapping paper to throw away, one at a time. Some of the gifts she got were: a water doodle pad from Grandma and Grandpa Bundy, $5 from Grandma and Grandpa Rex, a toy phone from Kimball, a bus from Cameron, a Llama Llama book, a Paw Patrol outfit, and a water table.
Once the presents were opened, we lit the candles and Becca beamed. She loved looking at them, and when Dale helped her blow them out, she kept asking us to re-light them. I think we re-lit them 5 or 6 times!

She devoured her cake and asked for "help-ee" with her ice cream. We got her a balloon and she would get so mad at it when she would pull it down and it would pop right back up to the ceiling.

And for some fun Becca facts at 2 years old:
  • She weighs 26 lb 10 oz, and is 33 1/2 inches tall. She's 50th percentile on both, and our biggest 2 year old yet!
  • She loves Anna from Frozen. She doesn't necessarily love the movie, but anything Anna she is obsessed with. If she's wearing Anna jammies, she refuses to change out of them in the morning, and some days she just stays in jammies.
  • She loves the alphabet and can read almost every letter. She loves pointing out letters wherever we go, and if she can't remember what a letter is, she'll point at it, say "mama" and look at me until I remind her what it is. She also knows the numbers 1-5.
  • We've also been working on colors and every day she asks for either a purple plate or a pink bowl.
  • She loves Paw Patrol pups.
  • Becca loves Lily...unfortunately she also loves to clobber Lily over the head with whatever she's holding. We're working on that.
  • When she's healthy, she will go to bed around 8:30 and sleep all night. Her naps are usually 1 1/2-2 hours long. We only let her have her pacifier in bed so sometimes she'll ask to be put back to bed in the mornings so she can suck on her pacifier longer...which gives me a few minutes to shower or get other stuff done.
  • She loves books. She will sit for hours if someone is reading to her!
  • Her dance is hilarious...it's a squat with a random pop up to standing...and repeat.
  • Every day she goes through everyone in our family to confirm where they are...Dada, Timble, Damwun, Yihyee, Guke.
  • She still loves swings.
  • Her most requested show is "Baby Bum" on Netflix.
  • She still has a hemangioma on her lip. The plan is to wait until she's 3 to see if it will go away on it's own.
Becca boo, please slow down! You are learning so much every day and it's incredible to watch. We are so blessed to have you in our family! We love you beyond reason.
