The Seven Plagues of Oklahoma

Out of nowhere, we've been hit with an insane amount of sickness and we are ready for it to go!

-The day before we were leaving for Florida, Lily and Becca had the worst coughs, red throats, fevers...the works. I took them in to urgent care and Lily was diagnosed with strep, and Becca with an ear infection. They both started Amoxicillan and took it throughout our trip...a pain, but manageable.

-The next Saturday, when we were getting ready to leave FL, Lily woke up saying her feet hurt. I thought her feet were asleep so we rubbed them and tried to walk it off. Still, the pain persisted. For the entire 14ish hour drive home, Lily would randomly burst out in sobbing screams that her feet hurt. As we drove, we could see a rash breaking out over her hands and face. We didn't know if it was hand, foot and mouth disease, or something she caught in the ocean.
This picture doesn't do justice to her poor rash!

-On Sunday, Becca woke up with a fever, and Lily (though feeling a bit better) still complained of her feet hurting, and the rash was spreading. After church, I got home and my throat started hurting. Kimball had a rash that caused him to wake up during the night, and suffer throughout the day.

-Monday morning, Dale had to leave for Muskogee for a big trial that he would be gone until Thursday night for. That morning I went in to urgent care and was diagnosed with strep. Lily still had the rash and we were almost positive that she had hand, foot and mouth disease.

-Tuesday morning Cameron has a stomach ache, which morphed into a headache and fever. Certain that he was getting strep, I took him and Kimball in to our pediatrician to get tested. Cameron was negative for strep, and our doctor said urgent care often gives false diagnoses of strep :/. Becca has a horrible rash on her bum, which the doctor said is hand, foot and mouth. We don't know what Cameron had, but he was miserable for the rest of the day, only wanting to lay his head on my lap.

That night. Lily took a bath and when she got out, all of the skin on the soles of her feet was peeling. It looked like someone had covered her feet in Elmer's glue, and it had started to peel! We spent over half an hour trimming and pulling off the loose skin. Becca's feet were peeling too, but not nearly as bad. Finally Lily's rash is looking better, but our doctor worried that she might be getting impetigo.

-Wednesday morning, Cameron woke up feeling much better. Kimball still has the rash. Lily is no longer miserable, but still has her rash...she can't leave the house until it's gone! Becca's bum is looking much better, but still has a rash. My throat is still a bit sore, but manageable. Dale is still out of town.

Here's hoping for miraculous healing, and that everyone gets this out of their systems before school starts next week!
