Halloween 2017, you came and went in the blink of an eye...
The boys refuse to do family themed costumes now, so we had quite the assortment...Kimball was Indian Jones. I got his hat from Dollar Tree; his pants and sword from a consignment sale; he wore a Sunday shirt; and we made his whip, holster and the clip for his whip out of duct tape. It turned out pretty awesome:
Cameron found his Iron Man costume at a free-cycle our church had. He found a fancier mask at the consignment sale for $1.50! He made a fantastic Iron-Cam!
Lily said she wanted to be a dragon. I was worried that I would never find a dragon costume in her size, but I found one at the consignment sale, and it was even purple (her favorite color)! She was so excited, but when Halloween finally came, refused to wear it. I told her she couldn't go trick-or-treating unless she had her costume on and she finally relented. Cutest little dragon ever...
Becca was a sweet, juicy strawberry.
I dressed up as a gardener, and carried around my huge (20+ pound) strawberry.
Dale was a BYU fan...pretty scary considering how poorly they're doing this year.
Our family won our ward's best "family" costumes at the ward party. There was a hay ride, donut eating contest, bonfire, and a good time with friends. The boys both had Halloween parties at school on the 31st. Dale came home sick that day.
Once everyone was home, the kids dressed up and I took them out while Dale stayed home with Becca to hand out candy. Lily walked the whole way and would exclaim "Oh my goodness! That house has a porch light on" before running up to the next door. Kimball had a slight fever and was freezing, but still insisted on going with us. It was a long night, and the kids came home with quite the candy collection.
