August 2017

We spent the first part of August on our trip to Colorado. When we got back, we did tons of laundry and unpacking, then it was time to have our favorite Ferrells come visit!

While they were here, we played the traditional games (Sorry, Uno Spin Attack, Haunted House...), went to the splash pad, ate at Pigskins, went to the Children's Museum, and watched the chaos of having 7 kids in one house unfold.

After the Ferrells left, it was time to get ready for school to start. We did our final back-to-school shopping trip-the last time to take all 4 kids shopping!...

and suddenly it was the first day of school...5th grade for Kimball, and 3rd for Cameron.
Kimball decided to run for student council and made some fantastic posters...
His school operates like a junior high with 7 different classes. It took a while to get used to, but so far it's been a pretty good experience. He especially loves his English class.

Cameron is loving his teachers and is earning lots of fun rewards at school.
Lily's motherly instincts really kicked in, and she suddenly loves taking care of her baby dolls. Grandma Bundy gave her some doll bottles, and ever since she carries them around and either bottle feeds, or nurses her babies. She loves going with the boys to the bus stop and has started talking non-stop about when she gets to go to school :(. We are not ready for that! Though she really enjoys having "girl parties" (as Cam calls them) while all the boys are gone each day.
Nursing baby
Becca made it to 6 months old! She started sitting, rolling, solid foods, and sleeping in a crib.
As for Dale and Judy, it's the usual...work, kids, church, taking care of our house, keeping everyone alive. Dale's work had a party at Lazer Zone. Judy won in mini golf, but Dale smoked almost everyone in bowling.
Dale also gained a new level of awesome and heroic when he saved us from a huge rat that somehow got in our garage, and fixed the wires in the van that said rat chewed.

All in all, we're blessed and happy :).
