| Lily conquers everyone! |
My mom was here for a few days and took Lily over to a farm store where she got to pet chicks and bunnies.
Lily discovered walking on shoes...
Kimball scaled the wall at Dale's office...
The boys had a sack race at Kimball's school art event...
We cuddled...
And celebrated Kimball's birthday. This year I told the boys I would be willing to do a combined birthday party, so they agreed to do it at the park, where we would pay for the rides (train, carousel, mini-golf). Unfortunately, the people that work there were never told that I booked it, and no one showed up, but the kids ran around and played games until it was time for cake and ice cream. I made sport-themed cupcakes, and despite the disappointment everyone felt, I think we all still had a good time.
It was raining one morning, so we all had umbrellas at the bus stop...
Another morning, it had been very stressful getting the boys up and ready, but it was all worth it when Cameron handed me this flower as he got on the bus...
Kimball has been working on his robotics belt loop for cub scouts, so we went to Home Depot to see some robots in action. They were wonderful and showed him the lift truck, the paint machine, and the carpet roller.
Lily's vocabulary has kept expanding. This month she has started saying things like "my baby", or "my out" when she wants out of her crib. She also loves saying how beebee (pretty) things are. She also still screams "NO!" as loud as she can, especially in stores that echo really well. But she gives the sweetest hugs, and knows that a sweetly said "doh-ee" (sorry) will get her out of the worst kinds of trouble.
Kimball told me he's glad he's not a girl. I started to think of all the reasons he would be glad, and he told me it's because he don't have to worry about getting lipstick on his braces when he has them :).
Cameron has been so excited to finally plant our garden and loved planting the seeds!
