BYU vs Mizzou

This summer, Dale bought tickets to the BYU vs Mizzou game to go with Kimball. He bought 2 more tickets for our nephew, but since our nephew wasn't able to make it, Cameron, Lily & I tagged along. We left Friday afternoon and got to Independence, MO just in time for the fireside the BYU football team puts on before their games. It was neat to hear them, and I especially enjoyed Bronco Mendenhall's talk...he talked about how much we could give if everyone put more effort into their children (just like moms already do :)). Kimball got to meet Bronco and a couple of football players (including McCoy Hill) after the fireside and was so excited!

We got some frozen custard on our way to the motel and settled in for the night. The next day we ate breakfast and headed to Ikea. Then we went to the Community of Christ Temple where Cameron quickly got lost. Thankfully we found him eventually.
We went to the LDS Visitor Center briefly where they have a fun interactive area downstairs
and then it was game time. Our nephew Jeff and his wife Hannah went with us. BYU had a great fan presence at the game and the atmosphere was good...even the drunk Mizzou fan next to us was quite friendly and talkative. Thankfully it wasn't as cold as we had thought it would be.
Kimball even got to meet Cosmo!
Sadly, we lost the game :(.

The next morning we went to Sacrament meeting at a local ward and went to Liberty Jail. The boys were fascinated...Lily was just done.
We drove by the Kansas City Temple and were on our way home.
It was a fun weekend get-away with many fun, new memories!
