Duck Pond

While on a walk with the boys, I decided to take them to OU's duck pond which is fairly close to our apartment. Kimball and Cameron are both usually fairly terrified of animals and won't go near them so I was worried it would be a total flop, but armed myself with plenty of stale bread that had snuck to the back of our cupboards and off we went.

As soon as we got there, Kimball jumped out of the stroller and started throwing bread. The ducks/geese literally swarmed us getting within feet of me and Kimball. They would get closer and closer to Kimball (those shameless birds!) and honked as loud as they could. Amazingly, Kimball would just back up a few steps, throw more bread, back up, etc though the geese were almost as tall as him!
When the bread was all gone, I had to charge the stroller to get through the flock of geese that had surrounded us. Both boys loved throwing sticks into the water and we all had a great time until Cameron picked up a clump of loveliness some large bird had left and I didn't have any wipes :/. I had to sanitize everything as soon as we got home and the smell was horrible!
